Current Auburn Kent And Federal Way WA Market Trends

In the past year, the median home price for the Auburn/Federal Way/Kent area has risen 12%, and in the past two years, it has risen an amazing 35%! That means if you were struggling to see $200k for your house in 2011, you could be selling it for around $270k today.
So why has the price changed so much? Well, there are numerous factors, creating a sort of domino effect. To start, the number of foreclosed properties have dropped. That means, of the homes on the market, more homes listed are from HOMEOWNERS selling, NOT banks trying to get rid of something they don't want. This means the market has increased enough to allow people to move once again, whether it be upgrading, downgrading, or simply changing location. And with homeowners selling, the homes tend to be in MUCH better condition (from staging and general maintenance, to new upgraded features) and will help boost the value of YOUR property, simply by being sold.
