Puget Sound Waterfront Homes Desirability

Puget Sound Waterfront Homes Desirability

Ahhh, Summer in the Pacific Northwest. This is my favorite time of year and why I could never move from such a beautiful place. It is the time of year when buyers get the itch to move closer to the water. It is also the time of year you can feel the desirability of Puget Sound Waterfront homes.

I don't have a bunch of stats. I could get them together, but it is more of a feel. When I drive home from the office I tend to follow the route along water more in the summer time. I have tend to stop at Salty's and have a drink on the deck on a nice day. I know I am not the only one doing this either. People in my office have the summer look. Everybody is talking about the weather. Talking about busting out their work so them can get out in the sun and be somewhere close to the water. You seem to slow down when you are around the water. Partly because there are more pedestrians walking around, but mostly because you want to enjoy the view.

As far as the market goes you see more and more signs going up to sell view homes. We get more calls on our waterfront listings for sale. We get more people through our open houses too. This is true all over the Puget Sound. The views are so different and unique. I grew up here so I am biased, but I have not seen too many other view I think can beat it. West Seattle is a perfect example of all of the uniqueness. On the Fauntleroy side you have the sound looking over Vashon and Bainbridge Island with the Olympic Mountains standing tall and white capped behind them. On the Admiral side you have the sound with the breathtaking skyline of Seattle. With the topography you will be driving and the views will jump right out in the least likely places. Views in the south in places like Des Moines North Hill with views of Mt Rainier and the Puget Sound. I have seen a lot of large bodies of water and while the vastness of the Paciifc Ocean holds its own beauty and mystery the Puget Sounds has a calm meandering feel that you don't get with the others. The mix of territorial and land views are a great combination.

I am sure you have heard enough of my ramblings. I just see the sun come out and  it reminds me of how much I love where I live. We are in a hustle and bustle world. We are all working hard to earn that extra buck. I am guilty of it. But is it good to stop and smell the salt air, enjoy the view, and feel the warm sun on your face. It is those things that motivate me to get up in the morning. To help people buy and sell real estate. To fulfill my own desire to own a Puget Sound waterfront home. If you have the same desire put down a comment. Obviously you can call me and I can help you fulfill that desire. LOL. Let me know some of your favorite places in the area. Let me know some of the places you think are comparable or better the Puget Sound.

And now that you are done reading this, go out by the water and enjoy the sun!!!
